Stones Survive win hard fought victory

Football

Maidstone United secured their Ryman Premier status for another season with a battling 1 - 0 victory against fellow strugglers Bognor Regis at Homelands last night. In a tense match the only goal came from a long shot by striker Adrian Stone on the 47 minute. Not long after he also hit the underside of the crossbar after lobbing the on rushing keeper and the ball bounced up and struck to bar (how unlucky!!). This caused a tense finish but the Stones held on to preserve their Premier division status. Well done to everybody at the club.
