Peter Sagan
Cycling - In the Tour of California on Thursday Lance Amrstrong crashed early in the stage and had withdrawn from the race. He ended up with a gash on his cheek and a possible damaged cheek bone. Peter Sagan of Liquigas has won the last two stages but Australia's Michael Rogers is in the overall lead going in to today's down town LA time trial, which should be spectacular viewing. 10.35 pm on Eurosport.
Armstrong Retires
In Italy - Richie Porte is still in the pink jersey after a couple of intermediate stages but with a large mountain in the last 50km of today's stage his lead will be severely tested. The General Classification is as follows.

Football - The stones ground appeal held its spring quiz night yesterday and raised a brilliant £811. It was well attended and got us all thinking hard!!
