The kazak rider Alexander Vinukourov was a surprise winner of the liege - Bastongne - Liege Belgian Classic race yesterday. He won by 6 seconds from the Russian Kolobnev. This was a surprise victory for the aging Kazak star who only returned last yesterday from a two year drugs ban.
One of my tips Valverde came a criditable third place but over a minute down.

Football
My last major stones story of the season!! Their last game ended is a creditable draw with high flying Kingstonian , an equaliser on the 68th minute from striker Danny Hockton secured a point to end what was a turbulant season. The receant good run of results leaves some room for optimism for next season but that will depend on the commings and goings through the summer. Keep checking the offical site and I'll put in some updates when news becomes available.

Green/Local Issues
Just some local news for Tovil - Just got the chairmans report for the Tovil Parish council and has some very interesting info about what is happening and the plans for the Parish including the application for a building materials waste recycling plant in Straw Mill Hill. This is a controversal proposal as the traffic implications are emense, according the the report it is to be discussed further by KCC in May. Lets hope they have a rethink!!
